Wine lovers know that a glass of Sangiovese brings out the best in a meal – especially when it’s hyper local.
On Saturday, March 18, we’ll host a community-style dinner complete with a variety of savory wines crafted by the neighboring Gianni Buonomo Vintners.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m., wine enthusiasts will cozy up for conversation at a long community table on our enchanting patio – complete with a dazzling fire pit and twinkling string lights. Gianni Buonomo Vintners winemaker Keith Rolle will present the dinner guests with carefully selected glasses of wine alongside each course. Rolle will explain why he chose each wine to perfectly complement the local flavors of our handcrafted and homemade delectable dishes.
“We wanted Keith to bring an array of local wines for guests to discover and enjoy,” said Sandy Hanshaw, owner of The Wine Pub. “Not only will guests learn the secrets to wine pairing, but they’ll be introduced to an exquisite winery right in their own backyard.”
Located on Newport Avenue in the heart of Ocean Beach, Gianni Buonomo Vintners produces a limited production of sophisticated, food-friendly wines. Owner Rolle grows and harvests the grapes in eastern Washington then brings them down to San Diego to transform them into refined wines.
Tickets for Wine & Dine with Gianni Buonomo Vintners are $59 per person and include a five-course dinner complete with six wine tastings and gourmet food. Reservations are required and tickets are available for purchase below.
